Dear Potential Symposium Registrant,
You are invited to register for the 1997 Symposium on Interactive 3D Graphics. We hope this symposium will stimulate research in interactive 3D graphics by bringing together many of the outstanding researchers from academia, industry, and government.
The symposium will start with a reception on
Sunday evening, the 27th of April. We are planning full days of
talks on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday (28th-30th of April) and
an evening banquet on Tuesday, the
29th of April.
To encourage better sharing of ideas the symposium attendance will again be limited to 250 participants. Please register promptly using the registration form at the end of this message.
We have a limited number of student scholarships available that will pay most of the registration costs.
The symposium will be held at the Westin Hotel in
Providence, Rhode Island. A block of rooms is being held in the
Westin for symposium participants at the following rates:
Single/Double Occupancy: $110.00
Triple/Quad Occupancy: $125.00
You must make reservations directly with the Westin by the 28th of March 1997. Rooms not reserved by name at that time will be released. The Westin requires a major credit card or a first night's room deposit to hold rooms and requires notice of any cancellations to be made at least 48 hours prior to check-in time. The rates are valid three days before and three days after the symposium. You must mention the symposium's name when registering in order to ensure that you will be charged the special symposium rate. Please use the name "3D Graphics Symposium" (a short name was chosen to simplify the registration process). We highly recommend that you make your hotel reservations as soon as you register for the symposium.
The Westin Hotel in located in downtown Providence which is approximately 10 miles from T.F. Green State Airport. Transportation to Providence is available from Logan Airport in Boston.
The registration fee for the symposium is $350.00 through 15 February 1997 and $395.00 thereafter. The student registration fee is $100.00. The registration fee includes the symposium proceedings, reception, banquet, and lunches.

The check covering registration fees must follow the delivery of the electronic registration form. That check must arrive NO MORE THAN 3 WEEKS after the receipt of that electronic form. Please include a paper copy of your emailed registration form with the payment of the registration fees.
